ਅਗਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਗਵਾਰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਚਾਰ ਅੱਖਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲੇ ਤੱਦ ਤਕ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਨਹੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਚਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਚ, ਡਾਕਟਰ ਕੋਲ ਚਲੇ ਜਾਓ ਵਗੈਰਾ ਅਗਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ , ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਨਪੜ੍ਹ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਏਗਾ.
Regarding extinction, the language that has no economic output will die sooner or later.People tend to learn that language which can give them livelihood.You can see the small kids in Bombay begging in multiple languages.
