The criteria for being a dependent has been slightly revised.
Both for serving and retired.
It's now based on marriage, job and income.
There is no age criteria now. Only dependency.
So if your son is above 25, not married, not employed and does not have an income more than ₹ 9000/-, he remains your dependent.
