Take on intro of Kurta Pyjama in Navy as a Dress

I've been seeing a lot of chatter about the new Indian attire implementation in the officer's mess, and I wanted to share a thought.

Change can be tough, right? Imagine if decades ago, someone proposed introducing this very attire we're now discussing. It probably would have felt strange and unfamiliar back then too.

And let's be honest, if the change was introducing Western formal wear instead, wouldn't there have been similar initial resistance and maybe even some good-natured ribbing?

The point is, we humans are creatures of habit. We get comfortable with what we know, and anything new can feel jarring at first. But that doesn't mean it's bad or wrong! Instead of just focusing on the novelty, let's try to see the opportunity here. This new attire is a chance to celebrate our heritage and culture within the Navy. It's a chance to embrace something new and evolve our traditions. 🇮🇳
So, let's give it a shot! Let's wear it with pride, see how it feels, and have an open mind about it. Who knows, maybe in a few years, it'll feel just as normal and comfortable as anything else we wear in the mess.

Cheers""'
