Should Army officers accept less salary in Corporate World post retirement?

We are multiskilled fraternity, thankful to forces to instill these skills in us...
Sometimes in my service I felt that I was being punished or forced to do things which were not to my liking but today when I look back, I find that it was a skill being incorporated in me knowingly  or unknowingly which now I can utilise to my advantage and boast about it ( off course W/O being arrogant)...
I hardly find the seniors, (even CEO, executive director etc or others)  have so many skills that they can fit in at multiple places ..
But even then they are expensive to corporates since they know their value having spent entire career there..

But are we illiterate...

Having spent our entire service in learning, especially on the job training at new postings, I didn't find anyone taking more than a month to produce the Desired results ...

Then how can corporates treat us as like useless lot without understanding that we can give them what they want in no time...

No it's not so, they are very sharp/ overtly smart and shrewd...
environment adequately knows we are available in abundance... especially the retired lot... and can be manipulated...
Under such circumstances where they hire the experienced COO etc for  1.2 Cr an year, they offer me only 25LPA...not even that much in small cities..

But the point to ponder is that we r even ready to join at 70K or 80K pm for whatever reasons (won't discuss reasons being a long debatable issue)..

Some of these reasons are granted also..

But, (but) when we already set a benchmark, how do we question the corporate world...
They are more than happy to have us, the best lot at the worst price...

In one of my interviews, the HR dept asked me if I can work for 12-14 lacs...

I replied I would rather work for free and shall be happiest if you publicise it as charity...

Some of them ask about pension...
Absolutely absurd and non- sensical ..

So it boils down to my acceptance...

Capt Vipul analysed that we do not adequately work on our resumes and few other issues in this age...
I can partly agree but only 10-15% of us may be like this...

The research and studies suggest that Army sharpens our mind over decades of service and once we know how to make the resume etc, it's not difficult..

The only adverse thing at superannuation is our age but that should not reduce my value so drastically .. whereas at the same age the senior executives or directors in corporates can ask for crores...

Although, it is true that we have some compulsions to work at lower grades but a line needs to be drawn in our minds to mark a threshold..

If most of us do not agree below the last drawn salary, there may be initial hiccups but it will benefit us all at large especially the future generations..

To end it, a true incident which happened during our ROS ( retiring officers Seminar)-

An officer seeking PMR got up and requested the AWPO chairman, ( Maj Gen Chauhan) that correct salary of a Lt Col outside is somewhere around 40 LPA, hence we should not accept less offers from companies wanting the skilled officers..
For technicals it is even higher...

The Chairman told him, probably you do not know what salary am I drawing..

So the buck stopped there..

Hence friends we only can help ourselves, no one else will fight for me...

And last but not the least, we are all brothers-in -arms, the camaraderie which I learnt in my entire life cannot be matched anywhere.. we had been good helping friends and in future , I envisage that the corporates are going to get flooded with the faujis, therefore we must vouch to keep helping each other in terms of correct guidance and advice... ( at least)
